My Philosophy
 As a Celebrant, interfaith minister, and wedding officiant, I believe that a wedding is an extraordinary event in our lives. It is one of the few occasions where we have the chance to stand in the power of ceremony and notice that each of our lives has meaning.
The ceremony I craft with you will resonate with sincerity, warmth and your vision. An ordained, interfaith minister and Certified Celebrant, I honor and respect all beliefs and traditions – religious, spiritual or secular. In your ceremony my goal is to celebrate who you are – your beliefs and values. I do this by asking about your love story and traditions, listening attentively and following your guidance.
As an attorney committed to social justice, I bring a wealth of experience and compassion to your ceremony. For example, I have volunteered with numerous cultural and social justice organizations, including Kitua cha Sheria (a free legal advice center in Kenya, East Africa), the Haitian Refugee Center (a multi-service community center in Miami, Florida), and visited with Ileaiye (a multi-service community center in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil). While with the American Friends Service Committee and a public school system, I coordinated mentorship and cultural enrichment programs for low-achieving and court-involved youth of color. A graduate of Hampton University and the Rutgers University School of Law, I believe in the human spirit and kindness. Most of all, I cherish ceremonial moments and look forward to infusing my love for ceremony into your special day.
